The excitement was not over…

Well yeah, it wasn’t over….

“Nussai, phone for you.” That was my mom who practically had to yell for me to hear her. I had just gotten out of the shower and was quite late for the prayers  :P As always… I was wondering who could be calling be since the only person who actually calls me (to check if I’m still alive) had just talked to me.

” lo…”

“Nus, it’s shaz” -____- Why was she calling me now? Did something happen? *thinking*

“I’m ranked in English Lit, French, and Socio…”

“Ohhh! ^.^ Congra-”

“…I think you’re ranked in Computing.”

“Oh. Great.”

“I wished you’d have some reaction.”

“Euh ya. I’ll go do my prayers. Will get back to you after that.”

It’s just in the middle of my prayers that I started realising what she had told me… I blocked that thought and continued with what I was doing. After I finished, I rushed to my PC to chat with sayuka.

“I’ll talk to you later. I’m going to the MES.” (MES: Mauritius Examinations Syndicate)

“Why?” I was quite confused in the head.

“I need to see it with my own eyes.”

“Oh, can I come?” On a whim…

“Okay.”

A few minutes, okay maybe more than a few minutes, I was on my way to the MES along with my dad (I had no idea how to get there), thinking and stressing. What if… Better not go along that path…

And… I simply couldn’t believe it… My name was actually there -____- I was ranked 8th in Computing, Sayuka was first in English Lit and French, 9th in sociology. God, today… euh… must be our best day of our lives, best day of mine, at least.

It’s time for yet another celebration… =)

    Congrats :)

  12. Congrats to both of ya ;) am very happy for you gals !

  13. I know absolutely nothing about any of this, being a furriner from the boondocks of USA, but that must be some test. I have read your writing and your command of English, the history implicit in the language, the philosophy behind your usage- all tell me you are incredibly accomplished in that field. Obviously the test measures something other than writing ability.
    .
Having said that, if you didn’t rank in English and ranked that high in Computing, you must be incredibly good with computers. Congratuations! I’d write a celebratory poem for you but I don’t know what rhymes with bbZuSh:)

  14. hey, congrats! *applause* applause* applause*… i don’t know if you’re old enough to drink (alcohol) but this calls for a champagne!… by the way, is this for an undergraduate degree (as in an AB or BS, or if you’re using the french system, a “licence”) or for the baccalaureate (high school exam)?… sorry, i should have known it by reading your posts, but all i can gather is that there’s a bright, high-spirited girl behind this blog :)

well, in any case, congrats and tchin! tchin!

  15. Thanks to all of you ^.^
