l’express dimanche
i love my country as much as you love your country. MY writings in no circumstances reflect any form of imbalance or disparity, i not being racist nor being intolerent. however, i am a proud mauritian and would surely be loving to contribute actively alongside with all other mauritians towards the prosperous social and economical devlopment of my country.
Passionate readers we are and so were our parents and most probabely will be our grand children.
I make it a must that every sunday i buy my papers from the local shop next door. and this sunday also i bought mu l’express dimanche for 15 rupees.
As i get my paper, i see on the front coloured page a large picture of three “youngsters” ( face hidden) holding in their hands “phoenix beer” ( company owned by whites:
Richard WOODING - Chief Executive Officer
Patrick RIVALLAND – Senior Manager Finance & Administration
Jean-François HENRI - Senior Manager Technical Operations ) cans and bottle )
and one of the children has a cigaret in his mouth, the cigaret is seemingly not lit. there is also a can of guiness, also being produced by the same brewry as above.
The headline is as follows ” Alcool, cigarettes, paris
LES JEUNES DEFIENT L’INTERDIT’
Going to page 4, i see that Mr Vincent Koenig and Mr David Savy were selected in ” profile haut as they have created a software. and profil bas goes to someone who openly denounced that there are drug dealers and consumers in the village where he is living. L’express newspaper said : “Intolerable. C’est insi qe l’on peut qualifier l’acte d’une ou de plusures personnes qui se sont amusees a remplacer le nom de l’avenue Princesse de guinee( Niama) a Bambous par ‘avenue subutex et du marijuana’. … ” isn’t it done by someone who is penly denouncing drug abuse and dealing in his village?
On page 5, there is an article on Mr Montocchio who was elected ” entrepreneur de l’annee”
On page 13 the journalist writes ” Barack Obama est-il dangereux ou est-il digne d’etre le 44e president des etats unis?
page 15: Mr Clency Belloguet says ” he is the right man for the job” talking about Obama. Mr Belloguet says that he spent a few days in the headquarters of the presidential candidate. ( would he share whatever he learnt there to our local politicians? and/or to the people of his beloved motherland??)
Page 16-17, there is a big article on Christophe Caterino who was found guilty of having drugs in his possession in plaisance airport. the report extends to two pages. and titles as ” le journal intime du steward Caterino” a very large expose on how difficult this guy is finding the mauritian prison and amongst all, a description of the prison itself and the way he is being treated. In one of the trials of Christophe, a few months ago, some of his supporters even removed their trouses showing their white private parts to the mauritian press and people in front of the court. should this be continued to be liek that ? I am a proud supporter of jusice and like all judicial systems of the world we have our pros and cons. prove it to me that a mauritian being caught in france with drugs would have been better treated like christophe? or would it only be said ” sale mauricien” or ” sale noir” or ’saltee de negro” I , alongside with other fellow readers would surely like to ask whether there is only mr Christophe in jail? or wasn’t there another person who was there since a longer time? or another mauritian? or was it only mr crisophe who was to be seen ? baf, you open the prison door and among all other prisoners you see only mr christophe and you decide to write an article only regarding him, and not about the misery that other prisoners are having, not the fact that the prisoners are having other difficulties? no.. nothing.. 2 whole pages for mr Christophe..
I would like to quote something from the support blog of Christophe:
thats all folks. see you soon !

I have noticed that the media put their own spin on things and it is frustrating to see inequities as well as to know that some things are not true. Once when we had a foster kid living with us, there was an interview. The article came out the second week in January. We did the interview before Christmas. I told the reporter we don’t celebrate Christmas. In the article long past Christmas, the reporter wrote how we were looking forward to a nice Christmas together. He lied in print to make the story, yet having it appear that long after the holiday, it was totally not necessary to make the story, it was just his way of showing his power.

I did not really get you point. I’d much appreciate if you leave the innuendos aside and be more specific.
