Theme of the Week: Seasons…

Seasons… Yes… That’s the seem for this week. I was thinking of maybe writing it on the last day(as always) but hey, I have nothing to write today… So, I thought why no go with it… At first, I was thinking of maybe writing on the different seasons or the probable end of seasons, environment things, well… something about seasons… But I don’t think I’d be in the mood to make my mind work right now to talk about those things. Maybe afterwards…

But there are so many things related to seasons… Our life is… that’s for sure… Seasons, I’d say, are part of our life. How Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, in my case, only Summer and Winter bring out the best and the worse from our lives can be really surprising. And sometimes, even parts of our lives can have its own seasons… There are tears we shed, smiles that come afterwards, a sorrowful look and maybe some happiness. All of these make our life as the various seasons watch over us.

Flowers start to bloom, birds start to chirp. It’s a new beginning in your life when the cycle starts again. It’s time for starting all over again, or even, continue from the long dark nights of winter. Slowly we discover ourselves and grow up into a whole new being. it’s time to go to school and start learning the ABC’s of life. Time to leave all wounds behind and find new friends. It’s a time to hold your teddies close when you see others leaving you behind. Who knows, time for your first new crush or even new kiss. Time to start feeling little butterflies in your tummies and little wings in your backs…

Then comes summer, the happiness of your life, where everything is already at its prime, bright as you are with a new life inside of you. A little head here, a little feet, as you see the image on the screen, your eyes open wide, as if in amazement. A hand on your tummy, you think about him, already having big dreams. A tear on the corner of the eye as you feel its kick and smiles as you hear its first cries.

It’s now harvest time for farmers, and for you too… As the leaves falls, you can help but think about everything that has just happened. It’s time for you to take pride in what you did and who knows, even some little happiness can be found. The brown leaves on the ground makes you remember of the time when these were all green. Nostalgia comes in when you think about your childhood. The loss of innocence as you entered adulthood might come to mind…

Last comes the snow and the cold. The long dreadful nights when all alone you are in your little world. As much as you’d want to find some light, this cold justs makes it unbearable. The end of all seasons, and maybe the start of new ones. As darkness finds you, hope stays in the heart, for a new world, for a new beginning again.

And all round it goes… until our own threads are cut… and us leaving towards the unknown…

  • Hei Nus

Aaah, you are in the mid-springtime, i’d say…
    Great entry.
Have a grand week. Rii :))

  • This was a great read.
I love spring for the flowers, I love summer for I long for sun, don’t always get any though! I love autumn for the colours. Can’t find a reason for liking winter. I don’t like the cold, don’t like the dark nights and I hate ice! :o)

  • wow! that was really beautifully written. It was a very poetical approach to compare life and the 4 seasons. :)

  • Very good read. I am toward the end of summer right now. I love all the seasons and in life I think it will be the same, enjoying each part as it is here, not particularly looking forward to the next part until it is almost here.
