Candle Man(Solved by Saaya)

You went out cave visiting one day and you got stuck deep inside a cave with just enough battery power on your mobile to call for help… Help will be arriving in exactly 18 hours from now and you’ll have to cry out to let them know where you are….

You don’t have a watch or any other materials with you… The only things you have are 2 candles of which each take 24h to burn and a little match box having only 4 matches in it.

How are you to get exactly 18h from only those 2 candles and your matchbox?

P.S you are not allowed to do any markings on the candles as the will only prove to be imprecise in the dark cave and don’t waste the matches :P

    errrm..

    I light the first candle with one match.
    Take the second candle and break it into two (equal, i hope) parts..
    First half will give me 12hours.
    Break the second half in two again.. That’ll make me 6 hours..

    I put off the first candle and light the 12hrs one with the second match..
    When this one will have burnt out, i light the 6hrs part with the third match..

    And after the 18hours are almost done, i start screaming..

    And if help still doesn’t come or is late, i’m sure to have some 24hours of light with the first candle and the remaining match…

  25. Bon…to pren 1labuzi to alime li deux cotés. Gagne drwa fer sa non?To alime lott labuzi la 1 sel coté.Lerla kan labuzi seki in alime 2coté la in fini, to pu fini conner 12hrs in fini…lerla to alime lott labuzi la so lott coté.Dans 6hrs li pu fini lerla:-) 12h+6h=18h.
